Design & Brand

Native feel, web-speed delivery.

Users are unforgiving on mobile. An interface that hesitates, scrolls awkwardly or ignores platform conventions gets deleted. We design iOS, Android and PWA interfaces that feel completely at home on their platform - built on a solid UI system that developers can implement without interpretation gaps.

What we do

Platform-native design, from screen one to handoff.

iOS & Android UI design

Full-screen designs that respect Apple HIG and Material Design 3 conventions. Gesture patterns, safe areas, notch handling and system font integration - none of the details get skipped.

Progressive Web App interfaces

PWA design that bridges the gap between web and native - installable, offline-capable and indistinguishable from a native app in the user's hand. Faster to ship, broader reach, zero App Store friction.

Design-to-dev handoff

Figma files built the right way: named layers, auto-layout, design tokens, annotated gesture flows and exported assets. Developers can build directly without a separate specification document.

Our approach

Platform audit to handoff in four stages.

01

Platform audit

We review your current app or design brief against platform guidelines, competitor benchmarks and user feedback. We identify what's working, what breaks convention, and what's costing you ratings. Output: a prioritised audit report and agreed design scope.

02

Design language

We establish the visual foundation: colour system (including dark mode), type scale, icon style, spacing and elevation. This is the UI kit that every screen will be built from - defined before touching a single feature screen.

03

Screens

Every agreed screen is designed with all states: empty, loading, populated, error, and edge cases. Gesture interactions (swipe, long press, pull-to-refresh) are annotated inline. Two revision rounds included before we proceed to handoff.

04

Handoff

A clean Figma handoff package: named components with documented properties, exported assets at 1x/2x/3x, a gesture and interaction spec, and a recorded walkthrough video. We remain available for developer questions during the build sprint.

What's included

Every asset your developers need, ready to build.

  • Platform UI kit (iOS, Android, or PWA - or all three)
  • All screen states: default, loading, empty, error, success
  • Gesture & interaction specification
  • Dark mode variants for all screens
  • Developer handoff package (Figma with tokens, assets, annotations)
  • Interactive prototype for testing and stakeholder review
Where we are

A studio in Lisbon, working worldwide.

We're based on Rua das Trinas in Lisbon and we like meeting clients face to face when it helps - but the work has gone out to 15 countries, and a good part of it is multilingual, because most of our clients sell into more than one market.

You get senior people only. No juniors hidden behind a project manager, no account handler relaying messages to someone you never meet. Robin has been doing this for over twenty years - senior roles at Cancer Research UK and MyVoucherCodes, and Search Marketing Account Director for Four Seasons Hotels across EMEA. In 2025 the studio took two Media Innovator Awards, including Best Digital Marketing Agency in Portugal.

Frequently asked

The questions we always get.

Do you build the app or just design it?

We design it, and our Transform team builds when a project needs it. Either way we design for what can actually be built and shipped - not a beautiful prototype your developers then have to explain is impossible.

Do you design for iOS and Android?

Both, and they aren't the same job. Each platform has conventions users already know, and fighting those to keep two designs identical makes an app that feels wrong on both. We work from a shared design system with the platform differences respected.

What do you deliver?

Figma files with a proper component library, annotated so developers understand the intent rather than just the pixels, plus every state - loading, empty, error - not only the screens that look good in a portfolio.

Can you improve an app we already have?

Yes, and it's often the better spend. A UX audit against your real usage data usually finds why people drop out, and fixing three specific things is generally worth more than a redesign that changes everything and proves nothing.
